As a film producer, Kilogram Box has produced the documentary film Socotra: The Hidden Land, which captures the lifestyle of a small society located on the remote island of Socotra (Yemen). The documentary has won several international awards: the Rising Star Award from the Canada International Film Festival, the Silver Palm Award from the Mexico International Film Festival, Best Cinematography from the CEBU International Film Festival and a nomination for Best European Documentary from the ECU- The European Independent Film Festival. + info
Anna Escurriola is co-director of Kilogram Box and professor of Production and Audiovisual Editing at La Salle Open University – UOLS. She is the co-writer and editor of the documentary “Socotra: The Hidden Land”.
As a graphic designer, she has worked as an art director and assisted with the creation of the corporate identity for important companies like the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia and the multinational company Sanofi, among others.
Previously, she worked as a graphic designer creating motion graphics for various TV shows for the Local Televisions Network of Catalonia.
Carles Cardelús is co-director of Kilogram Box and professor of Cinema at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) and the ELISAVA, Barcelona University School of Design and Engineering. He directed the documentary “Socotra: The Hidden Land,” which won several awards such as the Rising Star Award at the Canada International Film Festival and a nomination at ÉCU-The European Independent Film Festival.
His contributions as an art director include advertising campaigns for brands such as BMW and Freixenet, and international film productions, such as “The Good Heart” and “I Want To Be A Soldier.”
